About the hackathon:

You can build videos, games, websites, apps, programs, or anything you like relating to the theme of the hackathon.

Code4Good Hack will be a hybrid (in person & virtual) hackathon hosted by students of Code4Good club from Milpitas High School in Milpitas, CA during the weekend of June 4th, 2023. 

Participation will be open to middle and high school students (13-18). Participants may have any level of experience or none at all. We welcome beginners and experts!

Additionally, participants will be able to attend in-person workshops hosted the Code4Good club, exposing them to other topics that might interest them.

Dates:

Virtual: The hackathon will start accepting submissions on 5/28/23 at 12 PM and ends on 6/4/23 at 3 PM.

All times are in PST

In-Person: Venue opens at 12 PM and closes at 4 PM.

Eligibility:

Must be middle or high school students

Can work solo or form teams of up to 4 people

Prizes:

Will be disclosed on the last day (6/4/23) before10 PM due to late submittions

Requirements

Requirements for all submissions:

  • Should be submitted on Devpost
  • All team members should be added to the submission in Devpost
  • The project does not need to be 100% completed or 100% functional but there should be progress
  • A presentation or 1-3 minute video demonstrating part or all of your project's features as well as a brief overview of how you put it together (can be uploaded to YouTube or another public site)
  • A link to your project's source code (either in an online repository or publicly accessible via a file sharing service like Google Drive)
    • You can also upload it directly to your submission as a ZIP archive
